Steve McGaw

Co Founder
&
SceneShop Artistic Director

Steve has been performing or writing or directing or otherwise being bossy and needing attention all of his life. He wrote his first play, a poker-faced werewolf opus titled "The Rising Moon" in fifth grade; mercifully, no copies survive. He received his training in theatre at TCU and UTA, where he was fortunate to study with Gaylan Collier and Dennis Maher. In 1996, he took two important and positive steps; he began coaching comedy improv in the Upper School at Fort Worth Country Day, and, with two talented friends, founded SceneShop. He is very grateful for the experiences and friendships that have stemmed from each of these decisions. His full-length play, 'landscape with stick figures" has been produced in several venues around the country.
